At Trillium Equine Complex, our focus is on educating the rider through a series of innovative teaching tools and proven techniques. All lessons are taught by master horsewoman and trainer, Catherine Sampson whose 40 years of expertise lends a solid basis for understanding and adapting to her student's needs. All our horses are purebred Morgan Horses who have seen the show arena as well as working as high level lesson horses and beginner mounts. They are a cut above the average school horse. We ride year-round in our spacious traffic free indoor arena. All our view rooms are heated. We use our outdoor arenas in the bug free cool weather of fall and all our students enjoy riding in their lessons 12 months of the year.
Students learn more than just the mechanics of riding, but develop a more knowledgeable understanding of riding with the horse not just on it. We embody horse training skill methodology in our teaching program, creating a greater awareness of the whole picture of riding.
The program is geared and adapted for both young riders and mature students who learn differently.
Because it is a private lesson program with a one-on-one approach, students learn and achieve at their own pace. For the mature rider, we understand the special attention and ability they have and work with them to achieve a desired level of confidence and skill.
Not Just Riding
Riding is just a small part of the whole package here at Trillium. All of our young riders are given study programs and are encouraged to partake in our unique reward system. They are well versed in general knowledge of the horse, a recurring theme here at the farm.
All youth riders are automatically enrolled in the Clip Clop Club, specifically designed to promote education while still enjoying all aspects of the horse world. All students are entitled to special events and outings that the farm arranges on their behalf.
For our adult riders, they become members of The Golden Stirrup Club and are welcome to participate in the farm’s yearly events and special attractions.
Have the competitive drive? We offer to take our students to both lower level training shows and Class "A" shows. If you would like to enter the show arena, we can help you realize that dream. |
